New Year and New Beginnings

January brought some exciting changes for our family! After months (or even years!) or discussing it, Dave and I have decided to leave the beautiful (but way too expensive!) Seattle area and head back down south to Vancouver. I grew up there and Dave's grandparents lived there all his life, so we feel like we are going home. We decided to try and buy a home, hoping to finally settle down and plant roots for us and the Wee Beasties. We looked at several houses one weekend and decided on a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, built in 2005. It is in the cutest little neighborhood, very close to grocery, dining and a preschool about a 2 minute walk away. We are closing on February 24th and are praying all goes well. While we are so sad about leaving our close knit group of friends, who really have become a second family to us here, we are excited about new adeventures! Below is a pic of the house and our trip to the Portland zoo (using our new zoo pass courtesy of Aunt Karen and Uncle John!).

More December!

December came and went! We tried to squeeze as many Christmas-y activities into it as we could! We went to see the gingerbread houses, rode the carousel, went to the Teddy Bear Suite, Candycane Lane, and even went to see the Squeakuel! Our family came up from Oregon for Christmas and having great-grandparents and cousins here was really special! I picked just a few pictures out of the hundreds that we took in just a week! Santa was really good to the Wee Beasties and they sure were happy to see he ate his cookies, drank his milk and the reindeer had their carrots too!
