2011 Out With A Bang!

My 2012 New Years Resolution is to be more up to date on my blog, at least one post a month! 2011 was a good year.

Amaya finished Kindergarten and started 1st grade this fall, she is reading very well, has made many new friends, and really enjoys going to school.

Tyson is in part time pre-school, he enjoys going to school, but enjoys home days with Mommy even more!

They both played soccer over the summer, Amaya continues to do tap and ballet, she has also added gymnastics to her routine. Tyson will be starting martial arts in January.

This summer we made trips to visit Mamma in Lincoln City and Memaw in Florida, we feel very fortunate to have grandparents who live on beaches, we had wonderful visits. In October Dave and I surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland, they were shocked and thought we were teasing them, it took us landing in Orange County and arriving at the Disneyland Resort until it really set in! We spent 3 days in the park with cousins Austin and Alana!

The kids had a joint birthday party at a jump house with all their friends, it was a lot of fun. My friend Chanelle made awesome cake pops for the kids. Amaya had a Hawaiian theme and Tyson had Phineas and Ferb.

We had everyone at our house again for Christmas and it was so nice to be able to enjoy the time with everyone.

A Whole Year!!

Eeek!! I am ashamed that I have not updated for a whole year!! I will get back into this

Visiting Lincoln City in August

August was a big travel month for us, the kids and I took a trip to Lincoln City with Elaine and Lindsay to visit Mamma, we stopped at the aquarium and saw the fish and Amaya got to pet a turtle. The weather was AMAZING, even got a little sunburn! Aunt Karen and Ashlee came to visit for the afternoon and we all played on the beach. Stay tuned for our big Disney trip that we took later in the month.

Summertime in full swing, we really enjoyed the nice warm weather! We took several trips to the zoo, a few to the beach, Amaya lost her first tooth! July was full of fun :)
