For those of you who do not know, I applied for a nurse residency program in the NICU at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland...... today I found out I got the job!! I am beyond thrilled about this, it is seriously my dream job, the reason I went to nursing school!!

You don't know me, but I have a google alert set up to email me when somebody's blog says "Evergreen NICU", so I found your post.
My son, Aidan was born there on Aug 30, 2005. He was 27w 6d gestation and weighed 1.5 lbs. He spent 15 weeks in that NICU and it was an amazing NICU. No parent wants their child to spend any time in a NICU, but if he had to...that one was great. A lot of the staff there (nurses esp.) know us. My son's picture is in the hallway. Just ask about Aidan and you will probably find somebody who knows us.
